As a writer, I can't put down a good story once I've started it. Binge-watcher of quality tv, I am driven by narratives and the power they can have. I try to absorb as much as I can, and bring those different influences and perspectives into my work to keep my content relevant, engaging and purposeful.

Nominated for a Midwest Emmy in 2019, 'Back to Nature' tells a story of conservation and bringing the land back to what it once was. I worked with two partners, The Aldo Leopold Foundation in Baraboo, WI, and the Wisconsin DNR, to share why hunting and maintaining the land are so important for the Earth and our future. I had the honor of telling the story of conservation legend Aldo Leopold and all that he has done to teach and inspire generations environmentalists. What I learned while piecing this one together, as well as the people I met and experiences I had, I will never forget.
As my fun idea, got out for a morning hike with my coworkers at the University of Wisconsin–Madison Arboretum. I planned a few routes and got specific shots throughout our trek to tell a relaxing story of contemplation and appreciation of Wisconsin's Fall, while bringing it back to the product.
Having had the opportunity to work with the Dane County Humane Society every year while at ProClip, this was one of many video projects I was able to work on with them to help meet the needs of the shelter. With the wildlife center specifically, it is not a location people can visit as many of the animals are in rehabilitation. So being able to come in and capture some of the processes, over the course of the year, was key in order to provide those visuals and tell this story to donors. It was also great highlighting those fighting for our wildlife in general, and learning so much about it. DCHS is one of the best organizations I have worked with, with some of the kindest, most resilient people I have met.
One of many in an interview series, this episode was another idea of mine with a desire to tell a complete story while also capturing some beautiful Fall visuals in northern Wisconsin. We interviewed a fellow cinematographer, filmed and droned at some quality locations in the Door County peninsula, which really enabled me to tell a well-covered product story for the brand as well. I edited shorter versions of this long-form video for ads that ran on social media as well.
